The Carrollton Wind Ensemble wishes Carroll County a happy 200th birthday with its Spring Concert, May 1, at the Center for the Arts.
The CWE wraps up its performance season with a showcase of classics featuring more than 60 local musicians and some selections by local composers in recognition of the county’s milestone anniversary.
“Carrollton has grown into a regional center for new classical music and composition,” said the CWE’s conductor, Terry Lowry. “We will conclude our season of bicentennial celebrations with a program highlighting Carroll County composers such as Elijah Green, Kataj Copley and Tyson Washington.”
The show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at carrolltonarts.com, by phone at 770-838-1083 or at the center’s box office at 251 Alabama Street.
