Community Foundation of West Georgia Announces 2026 Power of the Purse Grant Recipients

The Community Foundation of West Georgia is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Power of the Purse (POP) grants, awarding funding to local nonprofit organizations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of women, children, and families across the region.

Through the generosity of POP members and supporters, this year’s grants will support a wide range of programs focused on health, education, family support, and basic needs throughout West Georgia.

The 2026 Power of the Purse Grant Recipients Are:

  • Be the Light Medical Missions – Women’s Health Clinic
  • Carroll County CASA, Inc. – Volunteer Recruitment Support
  • Carroll County Family Connection, Inc. – Parents and Youth Café
  • Carroll County/West Georgia Council on Aging – Embarrassed No More
  • Chase the Victory – Holiday Support Circles for Grieving Children & Families
  • Ferst Readers of Haralson County – Program Support
  • Heard County Community Partnership, Inc. – Heard Early Literacy Outreach
  • JoJo’s Closet – Wrapped in Love
  • KidsPeace National Centers of Georgia, Inc. – Every Child on the Team
  • THS Resource Bridge – Gifts of Grace
  • Three Rivers Regional Commission – Transportation Relief for Seniors

“These grants reflect the power of collective giving and the impact that can happen when women come together to support their communities,” said Cindy Sanders, Manager of Communications and Grants at the Community Foundation of West Georgia. “Each of these organizations are addressing real needs across our region, and we are proud to help support programs that uplift families and create lasting change.”

Power of the Purse is a women’s giving circle of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. Members combine their charitable dollars to make a greater collective impact, supporting initiatives that address critical needs and improve quality of life across Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties.

The grants were awarded following a thoughtful review process led by a committee of Power of the Purse members who carefully evaluated each application.
