Tallapoosa has something new to smile about, and it starts with a familiar spot getting a fresh beginning. A local ice cream shop has officially changed hands, bringing new energy, new offerings, and a welcoming atmosphere to the community. Now operating under the name Beach Teas & Creams, the shop is easy to find with its bright, cheerful logo displayed proudly on the windows and front door. It is located at 124 Head Avenue in downtown.
Under the ownership of Kayti McAlister and Michael McAlister, the shop is led day to day by Kayti, who serves as the face and main operator, while the couple works together as partners behind the scenes. Their focus is simple: create a fun, friendly place where people can stop in, cool off, and enjoy something delicious.
The updated menu brings a mix of classic favorites and trendy treats. Customers can enjoy hand dipped ice cream in a variety of flavors, rich and creamy shakes, and a standout selection of non MLM loaded teas that are as colorful as they are refreshing. Iced coffees are also on the menu, offering the perfect pick me up for a warm afternoon.
The storefront itself reflects the fun, beach inspired theme, with playful window designs featuring ice cream cones, shakes, and bright summer colors. A clearly marked sign lets visitors know they are in the right place, making it easy to spot Beach Teas & Creams when walking or driving through town.
A big Grand Opening celebration is planned for May 30, featuring giveaways, a live radio station on site, and plenty of fun for the community. More details, including exact times and additional activities, will be announced soon.
