Central High School senior Adisan Mock was awarded a scholarship earlier today. The Retired Ladies of Central High School presented her with a scholarship to help her with tuition and expenses as she plans to attend the West Georgia Technical College and complete a degree in radiology.
The Retired Ladies is a group of more than 30 ladies who have worked at Central High School as teachers, office staff, media specialists, and paraprofessionals. The ladies came together because they love children, loved their time working together and now they enjoy fellowship as they coordinate the annual scholarship.
The retired ladies felt the best way to honor their history and encourage future students was to award a scholarship to a deserving student to help further their education. Ms. Akers is a former Central High School special education teacher.
