LaGrange Police Department to Host 2026 Citizens Police Academy Now Accepting Applications

The LaGrange Police Department is now accepting applications for citizens to participate in it’s *FREE* 2026 Citizens Police Academy. This initiative is an engaging program designed to strengthen partnerships between the community and local law enforcement.

Classes will begin on September 8 and take place every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through October 27. All classes will be held at the LaGrange Police Department’s Training Center, located at 376 Aerotron Parkway in LaGrange.

LPD will address the following topics:

  • Patrol Operations
  • Criminal Investigations
  • Traffic Enforcement
  • Community Policing
  • Special Operations
  • K-9 Demonstrations (if available)
  • Crime Prevention
  • Behind-the-scenes look at the Police Department
  • Opportunities to interact with officers and ask questions
