Heart of Hope Gala to Support The Rouse Foundation’s Cardiometabolic Health Efforts

The Rouse Foundation will be the beneficiary of the Heart of Hope Gala on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, hosted by Sewell Mill Events & Community Center as part of its year-round Compassion in Action mission.

The event will bring together community members, health advocates, supporters and leaders for an evening dedicated to advancing cardiometabolic health through prevention and early detection.

The gala will begin at 6 p.m. at Sewell Mill Events & Community Center and will feature dinner, dancing and live music by ETC Band. Guests are encouraged to attend in semi-formal attire. Tickets, sponsorships, and more information are available at https://givebutter.com/the-heart-of-hope-gala-tac20n.

Proceeds from the Heart of Hope Gala will benefit The Rouse Foundation, whose mission is to enhance the quality of life of individuals, with an emphasis on underserved and impoverished communities, through access to health care and other essential resources. The Foundation’s work includes preventive and educational health programs, medical mission trips, research and development, scholarships and grants.

“Prevention and early detection can change the trajectory of a person’s health and, in many cases, a person’s life,” said Dr. Charlie Rouse, founder of The Rouse Foundation. “The Heart of Hope Gala gives us an opportunity to bring our community together around an issue that affects so many families while helping us expand the work we are doing to make health care more accessible.”

The Foundation has made cardiovascular health a key component of its efforts to bring preventive care directly into communities. Through its Health2U Mobile Health Clinics program, the Foundation provides health screenings and preventive health services to populations that may face barriers to accessing traditional health care. The mobile unit serves communities throughout Carroll, Douglas and Haralson counties and places a special focus on cardiovascular health.

The Heart of Hope Gala will help support the Foundation’s continued efforts to expand access to preventive health services and reach individuals and families who may otherwise have limited access to care.

“Every screening, every conversation and every connection to care has the potential to make a difference,” Rouse said. “We want the Heart of Hope Gala to be a celebration of what is possible when a community comes together to invest in healthier hearts and healthier futures.”
