West Georgia Technical College Names Jennifer Ball New Director of Dual Enrollment

Jennifer Ball has been named West Georgia Technical College’s Director of Dual Enrollment.

West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) has named Jennifer Ball Director of Dual Enrollment. During her 17 years at WGTC, Ball has held a variety of positions, most recently serving as the College’s Dual Enrollment High School Coordinator.

In this role, Ball will collaborate with Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) directors and high school counselors to connect students with available dual enrollment courses. She will also help solve any issues with concurrent enrollment, new instructors, and new programs.

“I am excited for this next chapter,” Ball said. “Working in admissions and dual enrollment has allowed me to grow professionally, collaborate with departments across the institution, and serve students from multiple counties. I am grateful to continue serving a college that has been such an important part of my life.”

Before working at WGTC, Ball previously worked at the University of West Georgia in admissions for two years. She holds an associate’s degree in business technology from WGTC, a bachelor’s degree in technical management from DeVry University, and she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in higher education leadership from Valdosta State University.

“We are grateful for the leadership, experience, and commitment she will bring to this important area of the college,” said Kristen Buoy, Vice President of Academic Affairs for WGTC. “Her work will be instrumental in strengthening our partnerships with local high schools and helping students make the most of their dual enrollment opportunities.”

West Georgia Technical College, with campuses in Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, Haralson, and Troup counties and class sites in Heard and Meriwether counties, offers more than 120 associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate programs of study. A unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, West Georgia Tech is one of the largest of the state’s 22 technical colleges. For more information, please visit www.westgatech.edu.
