Several construction projects are in the works for local government facilities including Bremen High School’s stadium. During the month of August we released some impressive findings over Facebook of a massive stadium overhaul planed for the High School. The Phase 1 of construction will add 950 more seats to the stadium during a rebuild of the home-side. Phase 2 of the project will include renovations of restrooms, concession stand, track, turf, fencing and visiting bleachers. According to the Gateway-Beacon, the cost of the project will be right at $500,000. A full rendering is also available at the Gateway-Beacon. The high school hopes to have the stadium finished in time for the 2014 Football Season.
Also a renovation project is currently being planned for the Tallapoosa Cultural Arts Center. Construction is expected to start sometime next year. Some plans include windows installed throughout the auditorium and renovations of former classrooms. The city of Tallapoosa also is planning a new Recreation complex. According to a construction bidding website, which is open records, the new recreation complex would cost somewhere around 5 million dollars. The plans include a gym, baseball, soccer, and football fields with concession stands. More details on this around the Summer of 2014.
