Carrollton, GA – Carrollton High School Band Director Chris Carr confirmed today that the University of Alabama “Million Dollar” Marching Band will appear with the Carrollton Trojan Marching Band at the 2014 Trojan football home opener at Grisham Stadium. The game will be held August 29, when the Trojans host the Newnan Cougars. Pregame will start at 7:10pm.
Mr. Carr, in his first year at Carrollton, said, “We are super excited to have the University of Alabama’s band perform during the pregame of our home opener. With more than 420 members, The Million Dollar Band is one of the largest and best bands in the country. To have the Trojan Band march into Grisham Stadium with the Alabama band will be awesome!”
Carrollton High School Principal Dr. Mark Albertus added, “It will be a great environment for our kids and our fans. The atmosphere in Grisham Stadium will be electric. We’re expecting a big crowd and a lot of excitement.”
