As you might recall The Carrollton Menu just did a news story on the Value Foods location in Bowdon, Georgia since it recently opened. Value Foods additional store in Ranburne is expected to close very soon. This does not surprise me since Bowdon and Heflin are much bigger towns than Ranburne and are just a few miles away. I am not sure what is forcing the closure but I can only speculate that it has something to do with the population size. We also stumbled upon a Craigslist posting for the Bowdon location. So evidently the Bowdon location is up for sale and looking for a buyer immediately. As of now the Bowdon location will NOT close. I am impressed with the Bowdon location and think it will do great. Keep checking the website for more news regarding the two stores.
