This week, the University of West Georgia will celebrate Homecoming 2016 with events dedicated to connecting students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the Carrollton community. Below are some of the highlighted events scheduled for October 20-22 that the community are invited join in on:
Thursday, October 20
- 6:00 p.m. – Presidential 5k Spirit Run on the campus and the Greenbelt**
- 7:30 p.m. – Homecoming Glow Parade on Maple Street and West Georgia Drive**
Friday, October 21
- 6:00 p.m. – Wolves Capture the Square pep rally and concert at the AMP featuring The Platinum Band**
Saturday, October 22
- 10:00 a.m. – Play by Play: Athletics at West Georgia exhibit presented by the Center for Public History at the Bonner House
- 2:00 p.m. – Homecoming Game: West Georgia Wolves vs. Mississippi College Choctaws at University Stadium
- 6:00 p.m. – Third Annual Presidential Scholarship Gala at the Campus Center

**Road Closures: Be aware that the following events will create temporary road closures. The 5k and Parade on Thursday evening will close portions of West Georgia Drive, University Drive/Brumbelow Road, and Maple Street. Wolves Capture the Square on Friday evening will close Bradley Street at the AMP between Adamson Square and Hudson Mill.
