A very emotional voice message greets those calling Cedartown’s former Southern Contemporary Restaurant, Cedar & Smoke. The message states the restaurant is now closed for business. They appreciate all the local support, but will not be reopening, however you can leave a message if you have an unredeemed gift certificate.
This was one of the first restaurants we’ve covered that communicated the closure in a very prompt fashion as a voice message. Cedar & Smoke opened on July 18th, 2015 at 110 Herbert Street (Downtown Cedartown, East of Main St). Chef Allen used local farms to source most of the food served at Cedar & Smoke, which was one of the few in the area to do so. Very sad indeed to see them go. Wishing them the best.
