A popular cupcake bakery in Newnan recently announced new ownership. Tonya Webb is the new owner for Smallcakes Cupcakery, which is part of a chain that has made quite a stir on a national level.
Smallcakes held a Grand Re-Opening celebration on June 23. Webb said the event was a great success and the location served many new customers during the event.
We took over ownership on December 1, and we changed the look inside by repainting it,” said Webb. “We also added a kiddy corner section to entertain the kids while parents are enjoying their delightful treat.”
The Smallcakes Newnan store, located at 113 Newnan Crossing Bypass, has been open since 2014. The chain has more than 200 locations across the country that serve a variety of sweet treats. Each Smallcakes location bakes and frosts 18 signature flavors every morning from scratch.
Smallcakes has been featured on Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars,” as well as daytime talk shows. The company was named as one of the “Top Ten Cupcake Places to Try” in the country.
Smallcakes proudly boasts its slogan, “Maybe a cupcake will help?”
Webb says she wants to get the word out to the community about the new ownership of Newnan’s Smallcakes Cupcakery. She noted that the tasty cupcake recipes and service will remain the same.
“We want to acknowledge that the look and the owner may have changed; however, the cupcakes will remain as delicious and tasty as they always have been,” said Webb. “We will be adding and announcing some new community events, so everyone can be on the lookout for those. We would like to let everyone know that we not only specialize in cupcakes, but we will also do custom cakes as well for weddings, graduations, baby showers, etc. We host birthday parties at our location also. Patrons can follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see more of our work.”
