With a concentration in accounting, consulting, and tax preparation, Kevin Phillips opened his business three years ago to better serve the community. As a master accountant, enrolled agent, advanced Quickbooks Pro Advisor, and business consultant, he says his inspiration to open the business came from friends and family.
Kevin graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of West Georgia and completed his Masters in Accounting from Keller Graduate School. He tells us, “The inspiration to start my business came from several individuals and businesses around the Bowdon, Ranburne, and Carrollton area coming to me for help once they knew I was licensed, and so that chapter began. Being an accountant has taught me more about community than anything.”
Recently he opened an accounting office on Adamson Square in Carrollton after graduating from a small business program at The Burson Center through Carroll Tomorrow. Kevin’s passion for community is shown through his involvement with PASS, Partners Advancing Student Success, originally known as Communities in Schools where he volunteers his time. Our article about the program states, “The organization which helps at risk students has worked with a total of 523 students in Carrollton and Carroll County Schools this year to help steer each one in a positive direction of earning their high school diploma and furthering their education.” Click here to read the full article about the organization’s rebranding.
Service to the community comes back full circle to Kevin’s customers as he works with each of his clients on a personal level to determine the best solutions for their unique needs. He says, “My seasoned expertise helps achieve the best possible results. I am ready and capable to handle everything for you so you can focus on what matters most to you.” Besides offering tax and accounting services, Kevin is certified in Quickbooks and offers one on one training sessions to clients. He explains, “My service helps customers save time and the aggravation which sometimes accompanies Quickbooks or general financial statement organization.” Each consultation lasts around an hour, and the fee is discussed between the client and Kevin.
Kevin concludes, “This is the time of year companies are looking for someone to help with their books. If your business is in this boat call me to get your books in order.” Also, don’t forget that tax season is just around the corner and Kevin provides individual tax preparation as well.
