Carroll County Temporarily Suspends Recreation Activities

After Governor Brian Kemp’s statewide press conference on March 12, 2020 and information provided by state and local health agencies, Carroll County is temporarily suspending its recreation activities and closing its recreational facilities to the public. The closing will take effect Friday, March 13 at 5:00 p.m., and will last at least through March 29. The County will reevaluate the closure as the situation allows.

The activities cancelled include baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, track, gymnastics and tumbling classes, and team gymnastics.

These precautionary actions are taken out of an abundance of caution because our top priority is the health and safety of our children, citizens and staff.

Updates will be provided as we receive further information or guidance.

All staff will continue to report to work and will be provided with specific instructions regarding expectations and duties.
