Friends of the Library Annual Meeting

To launch her debut novel, To Live Forever: An Afterlife Journey of Meriwether Lewis, Andra Watkins walked the 444-mile Natchez Trace as the pioneers did. Natchez, Mississippi to Nashville, Tennessee. Fifteen miles a day. Six days a week. She finished her trek in 34 days.
While she walked the Trace to launch her novel, she ended up having a life-changing adventure with her 80-year-old father. Her second book, Not Without My Father, which chronicles that experience, was a New York Times best-seller and was nominated for the 2015 National Book Award for Nonfiction.
An entertaining speaker as well as author, Andra will speak at the Friends of the Library Annual Meeting on Sunday, August 12, at 2:30 at the library. The public is welcome!
