After an unexpected accident in late 2022, this Franklin restaurant is back in service. Cazadores Mexican Cantina & Grill has fortunately recovered from the fire that took place in mid-August. Cazadores closed after the mishap to take the next steps like speaking with their insurance company. The owners and staff received a lot of support from the community during this time as people flooded their social media with encouraging words and positive comments.
The staff began cleaning and working to restore the restaurant right away. About a month after the fire, Cazadores’ owners updated the community via Facebook on the status of opening. At that time they were still working with their insurance company on the claim. Similar updates continued each month through November with the official opening date pending. In January Cazadores was closer to reopening and announced an expected finish by the end of February. Of course, in business there can be many functions that may push back an intended opening date, such as hiring employees, ordering food, and finalizing last-minute details for the restaurant to open for customers.
The restaurant owners announced that they were back in business and open on April 17. They ask the community “to be patient with them” as there are some changes to the menu and staff. Their hours are Monday through Thursday from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. Cazadores has lunch specials every day from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. with some starting at $5.99. The restaurant is located at 2465 Franklin Parkway in Franklin. To contact staff, call 706-948-0234. Due to having a smaller staff since the reopening, the team takes a daily break from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. During this time the restaurant is closed for service. Community members as well as those in the surrounding area can bring the whole family to Cazadores to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine.
