Jackson named UWG’s executive director of development

Haley Jackson has been named executive director of development for the University of West Georgia.

The University of West Georgia recently named Haley Jackson as executive director of development for university advancement. In this leadership role, Jackson will continue her dedicated efforts to raise support for the UWG Foundation for student scholarships and enhanced experiences across the institution.

As executive director of development, Jackson will oversee the strategic planning of major gift fundraising initiatives, lead a team of development professionals and nurture relationships with the donors who generously support the university through philanthropic giving.

“Serving the University of West Georgia for the past seven years has been an incredibly rewarding experience,” Jackson said. “I am excited to step into this new role and continue working with our dedicated team and generous donors to create opportunities that will shape the future for our students. My goal is to build on the strong foundation we’ve established and drive even greater support for our initiatives. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and the broader community.”

Prior to joining UWG, Jackson graduated from Auburn University and served in their development office, where she honed her skills and found a passion for supporting students. Upon arriving at UWG, she served as a pivotal member of the development team, helping to lead fundraising campaigns, increase donor engagement and secure crucial gifts for student scholarships and campus initiatives.

“Haley has been an invaluable asset to our development team for the last seven years,” said Allyson Bretch, interim vice president for university advancement and CEO of UWG’s foundations. “Her dedication to student success and advancing the university has significantly enhanced our support for UWG’s mission. We are excited to see her continue to lead impactful initiatives that will benefit our students and community for years to come.”

In addition to her work at UWG, Jackson is part of the Leadership Coweta class of 2024-25 and an active member of the Rotary Club of Newnan. Haley and her husband, Jarred, reside in Newnan, and they have three children, Collins, Ellis and Thomas.
