Newnan is finally getting a healthy grocer of its own! The City Menus has learned that Sprouts Farmers Market will be opening a new supermarket at 19 Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard. The new grocery store will be the center’s anchor in place of Onelife Fitness Express which will be closing its facility, according to RPC.
Phoenix, Arizona-based Sprouts Farmers Market entered the metro Atlanta market in 2014 and has since expanded to include sixteen stores around the state. The company is also opening a new store in Stockbridge at the Bridges at Jodeco, a new mixed-use development that last fall welcomed a new Costco and will later this week welcome a first-of-its-kind elevated Chick-fil-A
The next closest store to Newnan is 2015 E. Highway 54 in Peachtree City, which the grocer opened in July 2016.
According to the site plan from Retail Planning Corp. (RPC) the firm handling the leasing of the Newnan center – now labeled “Sprouts at Millard Shops” – the new Sprouts will measure 23,256 square feet and will, unlike Onelife, be situated closer to the midpoint of the center. The current Onelife space will be broken up into several “small shop” spaces targeted towards restaurants, medical uses, and other smaller tenants, according to the preliminary site plan. You can view the site plan by clicking here.
Once Upon A Child and Plato’s Closet are the only two existing tenants in the center that will remain during the renovation and addition of Sprouts. Both consignment stores are franchises of Winmark Corporation and both are owned by the same local franchisee.
Significant site work on the shopping center is not expected until the first half of 2025 with the Sprouts expected to open in 2026. No other leases have been signed, but a representative from RPC tells us they are looking to attract other “best in class” tenants to complement Sprouts in the upgraded center.
