Christina Hightower is a passionate educator with over two decades of experience in fostering academic excellence and a positive school culture. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of West Georgia, followed by a Master’s and Specialist Degrees in Supervision and Administration.
Christina’s career is marked by her commitment to creating a nurturing environment, where every member of the school feels valued, from teachers and students to custodians and cafeteria staff. She believes in the power of positivity and strives to instill a sense of worth and belonging in everyone she encounters. Most everyone knows her motto, “Be Good – Do Good – Learn Something.”
As a mathematics educator, Christina sets rigorous standards while cultivating a supportive atmosphere that encourages students to excel. She treats each day as a new beginning with students, and she pours enthusiasm and passion into her lessons. Her belief in a positive school culture, along with supportive relationships, drives her daily interactions and instructional practices.
Beyond teaching, Christina serves as the Director of the Bremen Education Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students, teachers, and classrooms within the Bremen community. In this role, she passionately advocates for resources and initiatives that enrich educational experiences and opportunities for students.
Christina’s dual roles as Educator and Bremen Education Foundation director showcase her comprehensive approach to education, blending instructional excellence with community engagement and support. Her leadership in both capacities underscores her commitment to empowering students and enhancing educational outcomes through innovative programs and collaborative efforts.
Additional Information- Christina is an incredible teacher. She is energetic and excited about teaching high school students. She’s also excited about school culture. She works to plan incredible opportunities to celebrate students and staff at BHS.
Christina was recognized at our system meeting along with the teachers of the year from our other schools. It was at our system meeting that she was announced as the system teacher of the year.
