Outback Steakhouse No Longer Listed for Former O’Charley’s Location in Newnan

Plans for an Outback Steakhouse at the former O’Charley’s location in Newnan appear to have changed. The restaurant, which had previously confirmed intentions to open at 1120 Bullsboro Drive, is no longer listed on the leasing site map for the property.

Last year, The City Menus reported that Outback Steakhouse was set to bring its signature steaks and Australian-inspired fare to Newnan, taking over the former O’Charley’s building; however, the recent removal of the restaurant from leasing documents suggests that those plans may have been scrapped.

While no official statement has been released regarding the reason for the change, the dashed listing on the site map hints that Outback may have decided to explore other opportunities or locations in the area.

The former O’Charley’s space remains available, leaving a prime location open for a new prospect on one of Newnan’s busiest commercial corridors. With its proximity to retail stores, entertainment venues, and residential neighborhoods, the spot is likely to attract interest from other restaurants or businesses looking to establish a presence in the growing market.

Outback Steakhouse’s shift in plans leaves some wondering whether the brand still has future intentions for Newnan. For now, locals eager for a Bloomin’ Onion and grilled steaks will have to visit the nearest Outback location in Peachtree City.
