Weather and schedules permitting, road crews will soon begin milling and repaving several key streets leading to and running through Adamson Square. The work will impact sections of the following streets:
- Alabama Street to US-27
- Rome Street to Johnson Avenue
- Newnan Street to Dixie Street
- Bradley Street (from Brown Dog Eatery to the Train Depot)
Milling operations are set to take place mostly at night, while resurfacing work will occur during the day. The full project is expected to wrap up in about two weeks, though timelines could shift slightly depending on the weather.
During this time, drivers should be prepared for intermittent lane and street closures. To avoid delays, consider planning alternate routes when traveling through the area.
Traffic Flow Changes:
- Presbyterian Avenue will be converted to one-way traffic for its entire length — from Maple Street to Bradley Street
- Wagon Yard Plaza (on the north side of the AMP) will also shift to one-way traffic, running from Bradley Street to Harris Street
- Harris Street will receive new yellow curbing and signage to indicate that on-street parking is prohibited from Newnan Street to Mill Street
Please drive cautiously in construction zones and keep an eye out for posted signs and detours. Thanks for your patience as these improvements take shape!
