Chairman Morgan is proud to announce the appointment of Dave Wade as the new Fire Chief of Carroll County Fire Rescue, effective July 1, 2025.
Chief Wade brings more than 25 years of experience in fire service and a deep commitment to public safety. His career began as a volunteer firefighter with the Haralson County Fire Department, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He later served as an Engineer with the City of Carrollton Fire Department before joining Carroll County Fire Rescue. For the past four years, he has served with distinction as the department’s Deputy Chief of Operations, and most recently as Interim Fire Chief.
Chief Wade holds a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Management and an Associate of Science in Fire Science. He has earned the prestigious Georgia Fire Chiefs Designation through the Association of Fire Chiefs and is certified as a Georgia Fire Chief by the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council.
In addition to his credentials, Chief Wade is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Georgia Firefighters Association, Georgia Fire Chiefs Association, International Association of Arson Investigators, and Georgia Fire Investigators Association.
Chief Wade is supported in this new role by his wife, Meri Wade, Marketing Project Manager for Tanner Health, and their four children, daughters Morgan and Addy, and sons Cason and Mason.
