Kwon’s Martial Arts Shines at the 2025 World Taekwondo Hanmadang

KMA students celebrate their medal wins at the 2025 Hanmadang.

The 2025 World Taekwondo Hanmadang was held for the first time in the United States, taking place in Anaheim, California. With over 2,000 martial artists from around the world in attendance, the event was a major success and a celebration of global Taekwondo excellence.

As part of the Kukkiwon Georgia Team, Kwon’s Martial Arts (KMA) proudly took part in the competition. Eleven students from KMA competed and delivered outstanding performances, earning a total of 15 medals7 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze. Their achievements have brought significant recognition to Georgia’s growing Taekwondo community.

A special highlight was Master Heejin Kwon, head instructor of Kwon’s Martial Arts, who secured 1st place in the poomsae division, further showcasing the high level of talent within the school.

Kwon’s Martial Arts remains committed to participating in international tournaments, continuing its mission to promote the art of Taekwondo and elevate Georgia’s presence on the global martial arts stage.
