La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant has officially broken ground at Fischer Marketplace in Sharpsburg, marking the beginning of construction for its newest location. The site, located next to the soon-to-open Whataburger, is now buzzing with activity as crews prepare the foundation for what will soon be one of the area’s most anticipated dining spots.
A large sign at the construction site now reads, “Our Family is Growing! Coming Soon – La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant – Sharpsburg, GA – Opening Fall 2025,” giving passersby a glimpse of the stylish stone exterior and inviting atmosphere the restaurant will bring to the community. With construction now fully underway, the building is expected to begin taking shape in the coming weeks.
Plans for the new La Parrilla were first revealed earlier this year, with the restaurant chain submitting detailed development documents for review in January. The design includes a 6,800-square-foot building with a full bar, spacious dining area, and outdoor patio seating—ideal for families, date nights, and everything in between.
This new addition will join a rapidly developing area of Sharpsburg. Located just off Fischer Road near Highway 34, the site is part of the growing Fischer Marketplace, which has already welcomed several national brands. Its next-door neighbor, Whataburger, is set to open its doors on September 4, adding even more excitement to the corridor.
La Parrilla, which got its start in Georgia in the 1990s, has become one of the state’s most beloved spots for classic Mexican cuisine with a lively, family-friendly vibe. Known for its sizzling fajitas, flavorful tacos, and signature margaritas, the restaurant has earned a loyal following across its many locations throughout Georgia and beyond.
While an official opening date for the Sharpsburg location hasn’t been announced, the posted sign suggests a Fall 2025 debut. As construction moves forward, locals can look forward to enjoying everything La Parrilla has to offer—right in their own backyard.
