Niche.com has released its latest rankings of school systems across the country, with Carrollton City Schools being recognized among the top districts in Georgia, earning the 11th spot in the state and ranking in the top 6% nationwide. Beyond overall performance, Niche evaluates districts in six specific categories, including which schools have the best teachers. Carrollton City Schools posted strong results in this area, ranking 16th statewide.
The Best Teachers ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and teacher data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with millions of reviews from students and parents, according to Niche.com. Thirty percent is based on state assessment proficiency and survey responses on academics from students and parents. Parent/student Niche general surveys on teachers account for 25 percent of the score, followed by teacher absenteeism at 15 percent, the teacher salary index at 10 percent, and the percentage of first/second-year teachers at 10 percent. The last considerations are the average teacher salary and the student-teacher ratio, each at 5 percent.

Carrollton City Schools was compared to 177 public school systems across Georgia.
