Community Foundation of West Georgia Announces 2026 Power of the Purse Chair

The Community Foundation of West Georgia is pleased to announce that Katie Williams will serve as the 2026 Chair of Power of the Purse (POP), the Foundation’s women’s giving initiative dedicated to strengthening local nonprofits and uplifting women and children throughout Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties.

Williams, a longtime supporter of community-focused philanthropy, brings enthusiasm, leadership, and a passion for service to this year’s engagement and membership efforts. As Chair, she will guide the POP Advisory Board and support outreach and member growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome Katie as this year’s Power of the Purse Chair,” said Kim Jones, President of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. “Her commitment to improving lives in our community makes her an ideal leader for this role.”

The 2026 POP Grant Round will open February 15–March 31, providing funding opportunities for nonprofits serving women and children across the region. Each year, POP members pool their resources to make a meaningful collective impact.

“I am truly honored to serve as Chair of Power of the Purse.” said Katie. “This initiative makes an incredible impact in our community, and I’m excited to help champion it’s mission as we work together to support the women and families of West Georgia.”
