Starbucks Confirmed for Shell Station at Exit 51 in Newnan

After weeks of speculation and steady curiosity from locals, it is now official. A Starbucks is coming to the Shell gas station at 5 McCollum Station in Newnan, Georgia.

Interior remodeling began a couple of weeks ago, sparking rumors about what might be moving into the space. The location, just off Exit 51 on I-85 in North Coweta County, has seen plenty of guesses from nearby residents and commuters. Now, thanks to sharp eyes and a timely photo from local follower Christa Ryan, signage has gone up confirming that Starbucks will occupy the end cap of the Shell building.

For those familiar with the spot, the space has a bit of history. It was once home to a Subway before that restaurant relocated years ago to the Texaco near Hardee’s. Since then, the end unit has remained a point of interest for what might come next. With Starbucks stepping in, the location is getting a major upgrade that is likely to draw steady traffic throughout the day.

The addition is especially significant for those living in and around Arbor Springs and the growing North Coweta area. With its convenient placement right off the interstate, the new Starbucks will serve both local residents and travelers looking for a quick coffee stop without venturing far from I-85.

While an official opening date has not yet been announced, we will keep you updated as more details become available.
