West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) has named Danni Scott Director of Admissions. With more than five years of experience in higher education, Scott brings a strong background in student recruitment, customer service, and data analysis to the role.
As Director of Admissions, Scott will oversee admissions efforts across WGTC’s five campuses and focus on developing strategies and processes that create a consistent, welcoming experience for students.
Scott previously worked at South College, where she served in various roles within the admissions department. During that time, she was heavily involved helping increase enrollment from 800 students to more than 3,000. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Marist College, now known as Marist University, where she also served as a resident assistant
“We are excited to welcome Danni Scott as West Georgia Technical College’s new Director of Admissions,” said Tony Cardenas, Vice President of Student Affairs for WGTC. “Danni brings a strong commitment to student success and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals. Her leadership, student-centered approach, and dedication to providing an exceptional enrollment experience will strengthen our Admissions team as we continue expanding access and opportunities for the communities we serve.”
Scott said she found her passion for admissions because of her love for customer service and her desire to help others achieve their goals. Her experience as a resident assistant helped her find value in supporting individuals while creating a positive impact in her community. She was drawn to WGTC because the opportunity will allow her to work with a different demographic of students and help expand her experience beyond the private sector.
“I want to make sure every student receives the same experience no matter where they are learning,” Scott said. “If I can help someone find a place that will elevate their education and create opportunities for their future, this is what I want to do. I am excited for this opportunity to learn, take on new challenges, build relationships, and help students grow and ultimately achieve their goals.”
