UWG Continuing Education Offers CNA Program to Prepare Future Healthcare Workers

The University of West Georgia’s Continuing Education program is offering multiple opportunities this fall for individuals interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Open to the public with no university admission required, the program provides an accessible pathway into one of the nation’s fastest-growing healthcare fields. 

Upcoming classes include: 

  • Carrollton (Saturday Cohort): Begins Aug. 22, 2026 
  • Carrollton (Monday/Wednesday Evenings): Begins Sept. 14, 2026 
  • Newnan (Tuesday/Thursday Evenings): Begins Sept. 15, 2026 

With both daytime weekend and evening class options, students can choose a schedule that fits their work and family commitments. 

For more than a decade, UWG Continuing Education has helped students gain the knowledge, hands-on skills and clinical experience needed to begin rewarding careers in healthcare. Classes are offered at both the Carrollton and Newnan campuses, making high-quality training convenient for residents throughout West Georgia.
