Kroger is planning a 3,714-square-foot remodel of its store at 1401 Gilmer Ave. in Lanett, Alabama. The project will update the entrance vestibule, cart-storage area, customer-service space, checkout lanes and bakery-preparation area, along with related plumbing, electrical, mechanical and structural work.
Exterior improvements include a new pedestrian crossing, curb-ramp upgrades, restriping and cleaning and repainting around the storefront. Most disruptive sales-floor work is expected to take place at night to limit the impact on shoppers. The plans do not list a construction cost or completion date.
