Hiring is now underway at the new J. Alexander’s restaurant in Peachtree City, as the former Smokey Bones location at 100 Market Place Blvd. moves closer to opening.
J. Alexander’s is currently looking for employees to join both its service and culinary teams, with a variety of hourly positions available. Current openings include hosts, servers, bartenders, server assistants, dishwashers, line cooks, prep cooks and sushi cooks, according to the company’s hiring page.
When we last stopped by the Peachtree City location, a dedicated hiring pod had been set up in front of the restaurant, complete with examples of employee uniforms. Interviews were also being offered on the spot, giving prospective team members an opportunity to apply and meet with the hiring team in person.
The hiring activity is another sign of progress at the highly visible restaurant property. The building was previously home to Smokey Bones, but a full transformation has taken shape in recent months as J. Alexander’s prepares to take over the space. New J. Alexander’s signage is now up, and the exterior and interior have undergone noticeable changes as the restaurant gets closer to welcoming customers.
J. Alexander’s says it is seeking motivated individuals for its service and culinary teams. Some of the benefits highlighted for prospective employees include flexible scheduling, a supportive and teamwork-driven culture, an extensive training program, and opportunities for career growth based on performance.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, J. Alexander’s is an upscale contemporary American restaurant known for wood-fired cuisine and a polished, relaxed dining atmosphere. Its menu typically features hand-cut steaks, prime rib, seafood, specialty salads and other American favorites, along with handcrafted cocktails, beer and a curated wine selection.
The Peachtree City restaurant is part of the J. Alexander’s brand operated by SPB Hospitality and will add another higher-end dining option to the city’s restaurant lineup.
Those interested in joining the new Peachtree City team can stop by the hiring pod to inquire about available positions and on-site interviews, or search current openings online through J. Alexander’s hiring website.
