MCL Industries, Inc. Celebrates 35 Years of Manufacturing Excellence in Buchanan, GA

MCL Industries, Inc., founded by longtime Carrollton residents, Steve and Joanne Nesbitt, is proud to announce its 35th anniversary, marking over three decades of growth and dedication to the manufacturing industry. From its humble beginnings in their spare bedroom, the company grew into a cornerstone of the Buchanan community.

The company’s journey involved an early expansion into a manufacturing facility in Carrollton and later Bremen before eventually relocating to its current home, the historic Arrow Shirt Factory in downtown Buchanan. Starting in the early 2000s, MCL expanded their capabilities and portfolio through the acquisition of Dixie Converting’s Label Division, Matai USA, and Kentex Industries. The company purchased a servo press in 2020 and became a pacesetter in the industry as the first custom converter in the United States with this versatile rotary technology. The state-of-the-art servo press produces complex, multi-layer components in a single pass, with extremely high accuracy. Today, MCL Industries employs nearly two dozen dedicated individuals and continues to thrive as a leader in precision manufacturing.

“Our 35-year journey has been defined by our commitment to delivering high-quality products on time to our customers around the world,” said Steve Nesbitt, founder and owner of MCL Industries. “We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Buchanan and West Georgia community, which has been instrumental in our growth and success since we moved here.”

MCL Industries specializes in the production of small, critical components, including insulators and gaskets. Parts are expertly crafted from a variety of flexible materials such as plastic, rubber, foam, foil, adhesive, and tape. High-tech industries including aerospace, medical, biometrics, and electronics rely on the company’s production of custom components.

“As a proud former employee, I have seen firsthand the dedication to quality and community that defines MCL Industries,” said Alyson Nesbitt of Halcyon Business Group. “It is an honor to celebrate this 35-year milestone with a company that has such a rich history and a bright future in Buchanan.”

For 35 years, MCL Industries has balanced innovation with a commitment to its workforce and its roots, ensuring that small parts continue to make a big impact across the globe.
