September is bringing exciting events to Horton’s Books and Gifts, with opportunities for families, book lovers, and the local community to gather, have some fun, and celebrate a love of reading.
Mark your calendars for two upcoming events, including a week of magical fun and a special Book Swap supporting the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.
A Week Full of Magic
Calling all witches, wizards, and Muggles! Horton’s Books and Gifts will celebrate “A Week Full of Magic” from Monday, August 31, through Saturday, September 5.
Guests can join in magical games such as Quidditch Pong and Chocolate Frog Races. Everyone is encouraged to show off their favorite House colors or come dressed in a fabulous costume worthy of the Sorting Hat.
There may even be a surprise gift for the best costumes, while supplies last.
The weeklong celebration is free and offers a fun way for families and fans to enjoy a little magic together at Horton’s Books and Gifts.
Book Swap Supporting 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
On Wednesday, September 16, Horton’s Books and Gifts will host a Book Swap at Printer’s Ale in Carrollton from 5–7 p.m.
Guests are invited to bring slightly used books and swap them for one or two new-to-you books. The event will support the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten library program, with proceeds benefiting this important early childhood literacy initiative.
Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. The ticket price includes a free drink.
