The Chick-fil-A Dwarf House restaurant at 221 Banks Station in Fayetteville is expected to close later this year and be replaced with something familiar to those in the area. The Fayette county restaurant, which this year celebrated 35 years in business, is expected to close and be replaced with a new “Truett’s Chick-fil-A,” according to planning materials reviewed by The City Menus.
The current Fayetteville Dwarf House is about 6,300 square feet, whereas the new Truett’s Chick-fil-A is slated to be about 7,500 square feet, nearly twenty percent larger.
About three miles away, Chick-fil-A is also renovating its Truett’s Luau restaurant, a Polynesian-themed Chick-fil-A complete with specialty items like a grilled mahi sandwich and a frosted pineapple dessert. The one-of-a-kind restaurant closed July 30 and is expected to reopen in mid-October.
Chick-fil-A has demolished several Dwarf House restaurants over the past few years including those in Woodstock, Rome, Newnan, Griffin, Stockbridge, Duluth and the original in Hapeville.
Following the Fayetteville conversion, there will be just three classic Dwarf House restaurants in existence: Forest Park, Jonesboro and Riverdale.
