ALDI is planning a new grocery store in Valley, according to architectural plans for a location at 3418 20th Ave.
The plans identify the project as ALDI Store No. 195 at 3418 20th Ave., Valley, AL 36854. The cover sheet is dated July 29, 2026, and was prepared by APD Engineering & Architecture.
According to the site plan, ALDI would be located in the retail center anchored by Marshalls and Five Below. The proposed store is shown in an inline space between Dollar Tree and World Finance, along the same row as CATO, It’s Fashion, and Hibbett Sports. From the looks of it the new Aldi would replace the former Badcock Furniture at Village Square.
Marketing information for the shopping center describes the property as new retail construction along 20th Avenue, with visibility to more than 19,000 vehicles per day.
