A longtime building along Highway 100 in Bowdon is getting ready for a completely new chapter as Bristol Station Antiques begins taking shape near Dot Road.
The nearly 4,000-square-foot building at 1788, formerly home to Hyatt’s Mower Repair, may still look like an old repair shop today, but plans are underway to transform the property into a warm and inviting antique shopping destination. The space currently features old garage doors, plenty of concrete, and reminders of its years as a mower repair business, but the vision for what comes next is much different.
Bristol Station Antiques will feature carefully selected antiques, true vintage finds, special gifts, seasonal collections, a baby collection, and merchandise from a group of antique dealers. The goal is to create a place filled with unique pieces and items that shoppers may not find just anywhere.
The owner shared that opening an antique store has been a longtime dream, inspired by a love for older pieces, their stories, and the way they can give a home a collected-over-time feel. Now, that dream is beginning to come to life as renovations and improvements get underway inside the former repair shop.
There is still plenty of work ahead before the doors open, and Bristol Station plans to share the transformation as the building takes on its new look. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
