Suntrust Bank Closes Highway 61 Villa Rica Branch

Our Twitter follower, @cer1807 made us aware of a bank closure in the northern part of Carroll County. The Suntrust bank off Highway 61 in South Villa Rica closed. Bank officials confirmed earlier this morning that the bank was closed on Friday by corporate. This year alone Suntrust has closed around 40 locations. Carroll County seems to have several closed or vacant banks. Recently the former Bank of the Ozarks by Midway was purchased and will become a credit card and financial data processing center. The Suntrust Bank off Highway 61 was just a few miles from the former Bank Of The Ozarks location. Bankers of Suntrust can go to the Downtown Villa Rica location which is still open. Dermo Realty has the former bank for sale at $700,000. For more information click here for a brochure.
