Over the past several days you might have noticed some work being done on the roof of West Georgia Technical College off Newnan Rd in Carrollton. We were told by an official with the school that the roof is being replaced with a new reflective roof to save energy. This was sent in from Ben Chamber as WGTC, “We are updating the roof from the old EPDM and gravel ballast roof to a more energy efficient and solar reflective TPO roof that should help to reduce the heat load introduced by the sun during the summer months.” There are no plans at this time to enclose the open air areas within the building. The roof work should be completed sometime in May.
