(Carrollton, Ga. – March 3, 2015) The Sharp Creek Elementary School Junior Beta Club visited Ashbrook Retirement Village in Villa Rica. Mrs. Melissa Robinson, the club sponsor, used this opportunity as a time to introduce the fifth graders to the idea of community service work. As middle and high schoolers, these Junior Beta members will be required to earn hours on their own for service work. The Junior Beta Club members helped the residents at Ashbrook make Valentine heart bookmarks. The trip was an absolute success for the students as well as the Ashbrook residents. The students are excited about continuing community service work as they progress through their middle and high school years.
