Update 7/20/15: We have received word that they are now closed.

Word today of a new place to eat in an area with few options but to drive a little ways. Cozy Floyd’s BBQ is settling in Douglasville after having a previous location off Howell Mill Rd. in NW Atlanta. The new location is in the Exxon Station off Hwy 78 and Burnt Hickory Rd in the Beulah community east of Douglasville. This Exxon like its sister Exxon’s on Bright Star and Douglas Blvd as well as a location off Skyview Dr has room for several other businesses in addition to the convenience store. Upon looking at the menu, Cozy Floyds offers several different style BBQ plates, as well as seafood, wings and burgers. Also at this location, a real big smoker oven in a food truck for that authentic BBQ flavor. Looks like recently opened Bubba Macs off Fairburn has a bit of competition. What’s good about this location is that this other than the Exxon station is the only truly local eating option for residents in the Beulah Community. Residents have to drive either to Douglasville or to Lithia Springs for other options. Recently, this location was a pizza place, but went under a few years ago.
