An update to a story we did in April, the former home of a beauty salon is now the home of a tattoo parlor and barber shop. Long Island Ink tattoo and barber shop is now open in the Exxon and Marcos shopping strip located at the junction of Douglas Blvd and Bright Star Rd. The space used to be an appointment based beauty salon and spa. For those wondering about the name, it comes from the new owner of the shop who hails from Long Island in New York and has made his way south. We reported this story back in April as the owner was trying to get a zoning change request from the city. As we do always, we welcome another local business to the lineup of the city of Douglasville. Welcome Long Island Ink!
