We got in some tips last week about someone finally renting out the old Sunbelt Tools/original Lowe’s Home Improvement location on Fairburn Rd next to Martin’s. After going by today we saw a company familiar to the Metro Atlanta area that has set up shop, American Freight Furniture, which has now opened to the public. American Freight specializes in furniture store excess inventory liquidation and sells furniture sets and mattress sets cheaper than you would find at your normal furniture locations, in some rare cases up to 50% off. The furniture liquidation spot has had other locations around the metro for years, the closest being on Fulton Industrial Blvd near Camp Creek Pkwy, but other locations such as Alpharetta, Norcross, Marietta and Stockbridge. As with any furniture store, they offer same day and other delivery options and protection plans on their inventory. A good fit for a retail space that has been vacant for some time. Update: We got in tip from our regular tipster Richard Segal (much thanks!) that informed us that the Fulton Industrial Blvd location is now the Fairburn Rd location. The Fulton location moved here to Douglasville. Happy to have them!
