We have received information to believe that there is a second attempt at the phone scam that occurred recently. They are targeting individuals pretending to be our First Call Department and asking you to call them back and provide your check card number and set a pin. DO NOT call them back and please do not provide them any information. CharterBank will never ask for your full card number nor pin.
If you did not give your check card number or PIN then there’s nothing further you should do at this time. However, it’s always a good idea to review your account transactions and report any that you did not do immediately. Important—if you did disclose your check card number and PIN please contact us immediately by calling 1.800.763.4444 and our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.
CharterBank does have a third party contact customers regarding potential fraud or suspicious activity for their account, however, the full card number and PIN is NOT requested.
