Carroll EMC Has Some Great News!

ATL Bus Chronicle Best Places to Work

CARROLLTON, GA – Sept. 10, 2015 – Carroll Electric Membership Cooperative is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of the 2015 Top 100 Best Places To Work by the Atlanta Business Chronicle Thursday morning.
The local power cooperative participated in a study conducted by Quantum Workplace, a global firm that performs culture assessment, in which employees were surveyed independently regarding their employer. The results, based on topics including trust, fairness and leadership, landed Carroll EMC at number 18 for the publication.

“We are so appreciative and surprised to be recognized as one of the best places to work for the second time this year,” said Tim Martin, President and CEO of Carroll EMC. “I’ve said it before and will continue to emphasize that our employees are the key to our success. Not only do we truly care about the Members we serve, but we genuinely care and take care of each other.”
Quantum Workplace has been scoring Best Places To Work for more than 10 years. The firm submits surveys to participating company’s employees on behalf of the Atlanta Business Chronicle from early July through mid-August. Quantum typically surveys more than 18,000 employees on behalf of more than 300 companies. For 2015, the selection included the top 55 small-sized companies, top 20 medium-sized companies, and top 20 large and top 5 extra-large companies.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle hosted an awards breakfast at the Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta Thursday, Sept. 10, to honor the recipients of the Best Places To Work. Those in attendance representing Carroll EMC included Tim Martin, CEO, Jerome Johnston, COO, Donna Pullen, VP of Corporate Services and Anitra Ellison, Communications Specialist.

Carroll EMC is a Member-owned cooperative providing electricity to approximately 50,000 homes and businesses. The co-op serves Members in Carroll, Haralson, Heard, Paulding and Polk counties.
