From Paulding County, we got in a tip from one of our followers that a local store that sold meat and produce has closed up. West Metro Produce and Meat in Dallas off Atlanta Hwy announced on their facebook before Thanksgiving their plans to their customers:
“We would like to let all our customers know that after long consideration we decided to close the meat market. We may open in the spring and early summer to sell flowers and produce…” Â – West Georgia Produce & MeatÂ
For those who still need deer to be processed, fear not. They are still operating their deer processing store West Georgia Deer Cooler, as well as their discount meat store in Atlanta. And as mentioned, a decision may still be decided to open as a seasonal produce and flower stand, somewhat like Burgers Market off Bankhead Hwy in Douglasville. Sad to see a small local business close up like this. We’ll keep you updated on what they decide for those that live in South Paulding.
