Please know the City of Villa Rica has been advised of a scheduled traffic control signal outage at the Intersection of Interstate 20 and SR 61/Industrial Boulevard (Exit 24) from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 6, 2015. The Carroll Electric Membership Cooperative states the outage will affect the stop lights on both sides of the intersection. Villa Rica Police will be directing traffic throughout the planned outage.
Remember, when all traffic signal lights are not working because of an electrical power failure, you must stop at the intersection and then proceed when you know other turning and approaching vehicles, bicycles, or pedestrians have stopped. A blacked-out traffic signal works the same as a four-way stop intersection.
