Villa Rica Library Update from City of Villa Rica : Construction continues to progress on the new Villa Rica Public Library located on Dallas Highway next to the Tanner Medical Villa Rica Complex. Inclement weather has delayed work for a total of 27 calendar days as more than three feet of rain has been recorded at the site since the initial groundbreaking for the 16,370 square foot building. Work continues on the installation of structural steel, joists and decking along with framing for the exterior and interior walls. The project is being funded by Villa Rica SPLOST dollars, state and regional library system grants, Carroll County SPLOST dollars and in-kind services from the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. The new library is a joint project between the City of Villa Rica and West Georgia Regional Library System and is expected to be completed in June 2016.
