(Carrollton, Ga. February 9, 2016) Bowdon High School junior, Griffin Cole, has been selected as a
semifinalist for the Governor’s Honors Program. Griffin will be advancing to the statelevel interviews
in the area of Communicative Arts. Upon graduation, he plans to attend Berry College or the University
of Georgia to become a journalist.
The Governor’s Honors Program Interview Event is by invitation only for state semifinalists. Students
are selected based on their individual performances at the interview event. Finalists will have the
opportunity to attend the residential summer program where they attend classes in a specific area of
study and participate in a wide variety of leadership and social opportunities.
