Rednexican

Rednexican is located in the heart of downtown Newnan. Rednexican is not your “typical” Mexican restaurant. If you’re looking for margaritas, they didn’t have any, but they do have an extensive beer list and offer several wine choices. However, if you are wanting to go to a place that has outstanding food, then this is the place. I have tried to find something to complain about, but it is tough. The food menu is very eclectic ranging from pork tacos to a brisket Rueben. The Rednexican describes itself as a “Barbeque Mexican Fusion.” For dinner we had the chicken burrito and brisket tacos.

The chicken burrito, also known as the bubbarito, was wrapped with grilled chicken, smoked gouda, homemade pico, and an ancho chipotle sauce. Needless to say this was not your average burrito. The Rednexican tacos were layered with pico, lettuce, smoked gouda, cilantro ranch, and smoked brisket. The smoked brisket is outstanding. I would put this smoked brisket with that of any local bbq house. All items come with bottomless chips and salsa. You also get a side item, and I highly recommend the homemade guacamole which is slightly chunky with lime and cilantro. The Rednexican has a local bar with a few seats and also some outside seating. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant, and I plan on going back. The food is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is family friendly and fun. $ 4.5 out of 5
